The Swinger’s Club
After getting loads of requests from folks to burn The Swinger’s Club to disc (especially this past weekend), I figured I’d repost the link to the set. The Swinger’s Club is a house music set I put together sometime ago. 90% of the tracks were selected because they had an old school jazz feel or sample to them and they are 100% wicked. You can listen to the entire set on MixCloud by clicking the link below:

Here’s the tracklisting for the set:
Note: I’ll post the link where you can download the set as an MP3 in just a bit, the set it busy uploading to my server at the moment
Why I hate checking voicemail
It’s annoying how often this happens. I much prefer a text message

How to convert a WAV file to an MP3 with Audacity
I work with a lot of media files, video and audio and a large part of the challenge when working with many media types is that formats are often incompatible. This is a quick tutorial on how to convert files with a .wav extension to a .mp3 file using the free open source audio editor Audacity. It includes instructions on how to install the LAME MP3 encoder required by Audacity to process the MP3 files.

For the love of house
I know that I could write some really long post about how great house music is and how I fell in love with it, but frankly, I’m not in the mood for a lengthy post so I’ll let the music to the talking.

Then you’ll probably find this funny

I finally managed to see it, and while I think it’s great film, I just can’t believe James Cameron called the mineral in the movie ‘unobtainium.’ Maybe his kids named that part. I really enjoyed the additional depth of field that the 3D offered and it reminded me of what it was like to watch movies as a kid – to have my disbelief suspended almost entirely and be immersed in to the world created on the screen. I think that the future of cinema is definitely going to be exciting thanks to 3D.
