BMW M8, seriously impressive
I’m no car geek. Never have been, never will be.But I can appreciate a beautiful design, regardless of the medium used, which is why I simply had to post these beautiful beemer snaps.
Update: I lied. I became a car geek.

These pictures of the new BMW 8 series were sent to me by a friend and I was instantly smitten. The model in the pictures below is the BMW M8 concept car, the Bavaria motor house’s last word in luxury and performance.
With a rumoured top speed of 462km/h (288mph), it outpaces the 1000+ hp Bugatti Veyron, which has a top speed of 407 km/h. astoundingly, the BMW M8 does this with no help from a supercharger or turbo while the Veyron relies on a quad-turbocharged 8L engine.
If these stats are indeed true, this will make the BMW M8 the fastest production car in the world, surpassing the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, which ousted the Veyron from it’s top spot.
BMW M8 specifications
- Top speed > Limited 462 km/h (288 mph)
- 0 – 100 km/h ( 62 mph) est. 3.5 seconds
- 0 – 200 km/h (124 mph) est. 9.5 seconds
- 0 – 300 km/h ( 186 mph) est. 22.0 seconds
I think that’s enough stat blabber for now. Go ahead and feast your eyes. You can click on the images to view larger versions.
Update: I you like this, you might want to take a look at the BMW Gina concept car.
A very very hot ride…
