I’m taking a break from the regular #coverversion Friday this week to share a free full length album – Label Love Volume 4 – now available for download.

Fellow music lover and curator of cool Michael Batch (@michaelbhatch) tipped me to this compilation album by Label Love.  It’s a 17 track long player with releases from big names including Alice Russel and Gilles Petersen as well as a fair share of Indie releases.

The sound spans some soulful throwback tracks interspersed with folksish indie rock and eclectic R&B and even some Jazzanovaesque Electro-Jazz. I think the publisher description says it best:

Label Love is an eclectic yet unified bundle of unique sounds compiled simply for the love of sharing them with the universe – each track plucked and presented by label heads from All City Records, BBE Music, Brownswood Recordings, Daptone Records, Kindred Spirits, Now Again, Record Breakin’, Tokyo Dawn Records, Tru Thoughts Recordings, and Ubiquity Records.

Label Love 4 is available as a free download here. Also, you should follow Michael on Twitter, he knows where it’s at. So far my favourite is ” There’s A Riot Going On” by Monophonics, but I’m sure that will change as I spend more time with this release.

What’s your pick for best song on the album?
