In edition of Tune of the week takes things down a notch and brings you some latin inspired chill out music from The Wolf Myer Orchestra featuring Lilith with a record entitled “Soulgate.”
A fusion between breakbeats and jazz, this is a great record. The track has a splash of Nightmares On Wax (the organ), a dash of Koop (the woodwinds) and a hefty dose of great vocals – all very good ingredients. This track is taken off the album “Femme Fatale” which is produced by Parov Stelar, so the vintage influences come as no surprise.
I’m also convinced that the producer is sampling Reflejo de Luna, another favorite from one of my Putumayo albums.
